- I never said that I want them to donate a card to me for nothing. What
- I have in mind is what C= used to do. As a developer I was able to
- negotiate a reasonable loan on new models of equipment. I would have
- a board on loan for 3-6 months, at the end of this term I either had
- to return the board to C= or they would invoice me for it. I can't
- see why this could not be the case with other companies.
-
- Send a Delfina board on a 6 month trial period, while I have it I will
- write the software for it. If I want to keep it after 6 months I will
- have to pay for it, or negotiate the exchange of the board for the
- license to include the software with Delfina, or some other mutually
- agreable arrangement. If on the other hand I am not impressed with
- the card after 6 months, I return it then or earlier. Variations on
- the theme are possible, but the basic idea is the same. It also helps
- the makers of the board to do some REAL market research, to see if
- people are interested in actually paying for the product.
